The Char Dham is set of four pilgrims inside India Hindu's belief that visiting these four sites helps achieve "Moksha". It comparises Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri and Rameswaram. It is considered by Hindu's that every Hindu must visit Char Dham once during his life time. According to Hindu Dharma Badrinath became prominent when Narnarayan an avatar of Vishnu did tapashya there and that time that place were filled with berry trees in Sanskrit language berry named as "Badri" so place called Badrinath the lord of berry forest. Badrinath is first Dham to visit.
The second Place is Rameswaram, It got its importance when in Treta Yug lord Rama build a Shiva lingam here and worshiped to get the blessing of lord Shiva. The name Rameswaram means Rama's Lord. It is considered the couples who don't have kids if visit this place will blessed with Kids.
The third Dham Dwarka got its importance in Dwapara Yug when lord Krishna made Dwarka his residence instead of Mathura his birth place. The Dwarkadhish temple also known as Jagat Mandir and the temple is located in Dwarka (Gujrat). The main shine of five stories building supported by 72 pillars is known as Jagat Mandir.
The fourth one Puri has got his own significance, lord Vishnu worshiped here as Jagannath which is his avatar for Kali Yug. Puri is famous for its annual Rath Jatra and the festival of Chariot in which the three prince or diaties are pulled on huge and decorated temple Charts. Unlike stone and metal icon found in most Hindu temples the image of Jagannath is made of wood and ceremoniously replaced in every 12 or 19 years by an exact replica.
